New work will be added each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/edinburghlofi.com\/news\/exhibitions\/let-there-be-light\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Let There Be Light<\/em><\/strong> <\/a>is inspired by the motto carved above <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Central_Library,_Edinburgh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Edinburgh Central Library<\/a>&#8216;s main doors.  Carnegie insisted this was placed above the entrance to every library he funded and the motto is as suitable for illumination through learning as it is for photography, a medium designed to record light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While we are sad that our photographic prints can not be viewed as physical objects at this time we hope to bring them to you at a later date as Part 2 of this exhibition, which is tentatively scheduled for August 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Day 1 features <a href=\"https:\/\/edinburghlofi.com\/news\/members\/graeme-lyall\/\">Graeme Lyall<\/a> who &#8220;tried to take photographs with light when it was dark&#8221;, working through the winter wind, rain and sleet, to make beautiful portraits of classical Edinburgh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/edinburghlofi.com\/exhibitions\/2020\/lettherebelight\/part1\/participant1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"603\" src=\"https:\/\/edinburghlofi.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/GL-18.jpeg\" alt=\"RBGE Palm House Pinhole 2020 Graeme Lyall\" class=\"wp-image-522\" srcset=\"https:\/\/edinburghlofi.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/GL-18.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/edinburghlofi.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/GL-18-640x482.jpeg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we celebrate all things pinhole photography in the month leading up to Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day on the Sunday the 26th of April our exhibition opens online!
