There are many paths in photography. As a medium it expands in scope and applications daily. There are the pathways that light can follow in photograms and lumens, pathways shaped by antique brass lenses, primitivly shaped plastic or a simple gap stabbed through tin with a pin.
Pend as a verb means to remain undecided or unsettled - in these transformational times we are all struggling to make sense of a rapidly changing world. Pend as a Scottish architectural noun however means a passageway through a building of which there are many in Edinburgh.
“It's weird how I am constantly surprised by the passage of time when it's literally the most predictable thing in the Universe.” Randall Munroe
Edinburgh LoFi is a Traditional, Alternative and Logographic photography collective that has been running for 13 years. Our twice monthly meetings have continued throughout the lockdowns, moving online. We are now beginning to meet in person again for photowalks and workshops. All welcome, please look at our website or email info@edinburghlofi.com to find out more.
Our next exhibition will be in March 2023 - CIRCLE - at the Art & Design Library in Edinburgh.
