Ali Millar

Ali Millar has a long standing interest/obsession with photography and is constantly trying to expand her skills, trying new things.

During lockdown like the rest of the world I had to adapt to my new normal. I am still working - but my free time was even freer.

Last year I found a Polaroid camera at my Mums from the late 70’s early 80’s. It still took fun shots, but I wanted more, as I was not going out as much I treated myself to a Polaroid Lab. I love the retro look of the images I get.

These shots combine a couple of my favourite things. My new lockdown toy (Polaroid Lab) and keys. Keys have been a favourite object Of mine to collect/display/photograph. I love how beautiful and practical they are.

In keeping with trying new things in Lockdown I had a go at a Polaroid lift. This image is 3 Polaroid’s (vintage) combined. It was a fun but slightly Frustrating technique taking the image apart. Love the abstract nature of it all.
