I have been a hobby photographer since I retired eight years ago. I keep myself interested by using a wide range of different camera types – both film and digital. I am particularly attracted to LoFi cameras because of the ethereal images they produce. I feel that high definition photos lack the mystery and intrigue necessary for a satisfying artistic experience.
The photos I have used in the Edges exhibition were taken using a Holga pinhole lens attached to a digital camera.
The other technique I use to motivate myself is to make photobooks from my projects. A selection of these is available for public view at Blurb Photobooks.
